Here is the process of laying down each strip of metal for the Sky Bridge. This goes on for 500 feet. The workers are from Advanced Terrazzo. They were there everyday on their hands and knees working on the project. I wanted to give them the respect they deserve… you guys are amazing.
Wanted to share this architectural drawing detail of a project (Sky Bridge) I just completed for Sky Harbor Airport and the Arizona Light Rail. The cost of the project was close to a million dollars. It is the largest project I have ever worked on. The artwork is 500feetx40feet. I started work on it in 2008. I’ll be sharing pictures of the process and the completed piece in the next few days.
I was invited by Master Printer Andrew Polk to produce a limited edition stone lithograph for the University of Arizona Art Department. It was an amazing experience.
